Introducing Nature – Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G. “Rive di Susegana” Extra Brut
An impervious but suitable territory such as “le Rive”, vineyards that are looked after with skill and care, a patient process turning the fruit into wine, winemaking in the cellar entrusted to enologists of invaluable expertise: everything in Col Sandago contributes to the creation of wines expressing excellence and care, skill and wait.
Nature makes its debut among the different Col Sandago “perspective nuances” at Vinitaly 2019: a new Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G. “Rive di Susegana” Extra Brut, obtained exclusively from Glera grapes that are grown in the vineyards in the Susegana municipality, whose clay soil with a sandstone structure offers a delicate minerality. The hand-harvested grapes are destemmed and softly pressed before undergoing cold maceration and fermentation. Re-fermentation in the autoclave for 90 days is then followed by tartaric stabilization and cold filtering. In the glass, the bright straw yellow color is accompanied by a fine, persistent perlage and an aroma of fruity and floral notes. Its dry, very savory taste makes it ideal to be paired with fish dishes, as an all-round wine.
Nature is contained in the prestigious bottle dedicated to D.O.C.G. sparkling wines: adorned by a stylized relief design recalling the lines of Martino Zanetti’s painting “Prospettiva 1” (125×100 cm – 1996), its laminated Tiffany blue label echoes its precious naturalness.
Martino Zanetti’s paintings and colors are also the inspiration for Rosso Col Sandago and Bianco Col Sandago, still wines that are born from experience and attention with the aim to satisfy those who also look for spontaneity and authenticity in a wine. These new products are decorated by labels inspired by two of Martino Zanetti’s paintings: Incitatus (September 2010, enamels and acrylics on jute bag canvas mounted on wood, 80×60 cm) and Figura 2 (September 2010, acrylic on jute canvas mounted on wood, 95×120 cm).
At Vinitaly 2019, Col Sandago makes its never-before-seen works of art debut in a “taste gallery” which surprises, charms and engages the senses.
